In the past when I had a car repaired / serviced, I'd go to the garage, inspect the work and, provided it was satisfactory, I would pay via credit card knowing I had some consumer protection if the car fell apart as a result of poor workmanship.Nowadays many places seem to ask for payment by bank transfer due to high bank charges. They don't even like payment by debit card.It feels like this leaves an element of risk on my side as I could be paying for work I have not seen and not having the credit card protection. Not to mention being poor for cashflow and missing out on credit card bonuses.

A quick AI search shows the price of the same model in China, the BYD Denza Z9 GT costs between £29,984 and £37,764 depending on the variant.By comparison, the exact same vehicle is significantly higher in the UK at £95,000 for the plug-in hybrid & £105,000 for the all-electric version. There is a name for that I believe...will we see people importing cars direct from China, as they did from Japan in the past?

1994년형 혼다 프렐류드(4세대)의 디지털 연료량계와 수온계 게이지가 시동 직후에 매우 어둡게 보이다가 약 5분 후 밝아졌다가 얼마 후 다시 어두워지는 현상이 반복됨. 계기판 조명 밝기 조절 스위치는 정상(최대 설정). 최근 강우 있음.

엔진 교체 후(2010 말리부 엔진을 2006 솔스티스에 설치) 시동이 걸리지 않음. 스캐너(HP tuners)에서 DTC 코드 없음, CEL 점등 안 함, 보안 라이트도 없음. 연료펌프 활성화 안 됨. 키를 돌릴 때 승객석 바닥 뒤의 퓨즈박스와 엔진룸의 퓨즈박스에서 릴레이 클릭음 청취

Given there were only 5 new GranCabrio Trofeo’s registered in 2024 I can’t imagine Maserati are targeting much more than double figures per year for this one. Might be £50k less than a DB12 upfront but the Aston would be cheaper to lease / save the difference in depreciation which would make this a tough choice…

Hopefully somebody works for Highways and might be able to advise;Who oversees lane closures and temp speed cameras? Do they need any qualifications? Does anybody check whether lane closures are appropriate? Does anybody weigh up the impact on the wider world when deciding how many lanes should be closed off? Does anybody check whether lanes are opened promptly? Does anybody check whether the imposition of temporary speed limits is appropriate?I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that lanes are being closed and temp speed limits imposed without any kind of impact assessment. It looks the business from the outside and those rocker switches do look quite cool. I'm not sure the badge is established enough to sell too many over here at this money though. While certainly not all, I don't think it's controversial to say a majority of buyers for £70k SUVs are at least a bit interested in perceived status.Mind you, you have to start building that reputation somewhere. Maybe BYD see bringing it here as a loss leader to help establish the brand.

Old, slow, thirsty, expensive to run, not even that quick, overpriced. At least it’ll sound fairly decent.

Sorry but there is no excuse for that. The pavement must be there for a reason so surely access to it for anyone in a wheelchair or pushchair is more of a priority than the comfort of a selfish trucker?
