증상
RX-8 엔진에서 과다한 오일이 흡기계통으로 유입되어 문제 발생 우려. PCV 시스템을 통해 블로우바이(blow-by) 가스가 흡기로 재순환되면서 액상 오일도 함께 유입될 수 있음.
처리 내용
오일 캐치캔(catch can)을 설치하여 블로우바이 가스에 포함된 액상 오일을 흡기 진입 전에 포집함. 이를 통해 흡기계통 오염을 방지하고, 터보 엔진의 경우 인터쿨러로의 오일 유입을 차단하여 인터쿨러 효율 저하를 예방함. 캐치캔은 주기적으로 배출된 오일을 제거해야 함. 이는 과다 오일 양으로 인한 직접적인 해결책은 아니며, 엔진 마모로 인한 블로우바이 오일 유입을 관리하기 위한 방법임.

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
