According to Google, the vehicle trials begin in October 2026 until January 2027. Estimated award decision May 31, 2027.MOD expecting to buy 3000-9500+ between May 2027 and May 2036, with an extension option until 2047.By comparison, Land Rover built over 110,000 Defenders in 2024-2025 alone. My point is, while the defence of the realm is essential and having British kit to do that highly desirable, in the whole scheme of things this looks pretty niche. I hope the MOD don't spent too much time, effort and money agonising over their decision, but something tells me that will absolutely be the case, given their questionable track record on procurement.

I used to work in Marlow which had width restriction bollards at each end of the bridge (they've been removed now, so it's just a kerb instead which is bad but not quite as bad). In theory, they were 2m at both ends of the bridge, but I discovered that these could be adjusted (and had been adjusted) so that one end was wider. This meant that vehicles slightly wider than 2m could get on the bridge, but couldn't get off the other side...I had to help take them off at the narrower end because a Land Rover towing a trailer with a bull in it had got through one end of the

This car was sold all over the world in different specifications that's the only difference. People seem to think JDM is for any car from Japan which it isn't.You're entirely incorrect here. JDM can be applied to any car car destined for the Japanese domestic market.Yes, people incorrectly say 'JDM' when it's a Civic originally sold in Peterborough, but this is a Japanese only model originally sold domestically in Japan.

I appreciate that this isn t a very Pistonheads kind of vehicle but I thought it might be of a little bit of interest to some. Despite the love I had for my Fiat Panda 4x4 Cross winter car, I ve always really hankered after one of the latest Suzuki Jimny s but never actually did it whilst they were officially available in the UK. However, I recently got the chance to pick up a brand new import and decided to go for it.The car is exactly as it left the factory but I did get the dealer to upgrade the tyres for me as I d read some pretty poor (snow) reviews about the Dunlop Grand Trek tyres that

My A tech who is 55 years old had a cough one day and medically retired the next. He has a particularly nasty cancer. I'm just lost what to do. He's not only a good employee but a good friend. Been with me 8 years. I have always been lucky with finding techs...
