Early-bird said: Subsidised leasing certainly safer if you're renting. If actually buying, which I think was his point above, ICE residual will be circa 47% to say ~37% on the EV or thereabouts. It was in response to this…. “Even if you were going to rent one privately the I4 for example is £90 a month more expensive than the 4 series for the base models on BMW's configurator. Unless you are doing 10k+ miles a year you will get zero savings with the EV.”

If you are doing salary sacrifice bik then yes most likely the EV makes more sense but if you are actually buying one in the meaning of the word and not renting one or tax right off then the ICE version will make more sense as the residuals will be a million times better. Even if you were going to rent one privately the I4 for example is £90 a month more expensive than the 4 series for the base models on BMW's configurator. Unless you are doing 10k+ miles a year you will get zero savings with the EV. For average joe who just wants a BMW badge and does 5k miles a year the ICE version of the 3 series is just plain cheaper to them. Fuel costs included. i4 M60 vs M340i, note identical terms and cheapest monthly payment . Now factor in the difference in fuel costs. Of course we don t know what the lease costs will be on the i3, but I d bet they won t be dissimilar. If you look on BMW's configurator website you can see the exact opposite for those two cars. Well done you have found a deal on the I4 of stock which they are most likely trying to get rid of because they are not shifting. You are also comparing the difference between two leasing companies even though it is from the same site.

Kudos to the original owner.

Transverse engine, front wheel drive, rubber cone suspension? We want our inline, rear drive, leaf sprung that we're used to.It's just gopping. It's taken the ugly bits from the current one (particularly the F&R lights) and made them even worse. Shame, as everything up to and including the F30 looked great. Even the Bangle ones were decent-looking.If you want a good-looking Bimmer the last one is the G30 5 Se

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
