Not a bad place to drive, by the look of it. If the car has a cabin filter, it's secreted kind of behind the wiper. Mine (similar to r129sl's car) should have a filter, but has been bodged in the past. I think I've got all the bits to reinstate it.

Best place for a replacement? Under the wiper mechanism. Just get the Mann job from Euro or CarParts4Less or wherever although I note they are £23 with discount. They are a bit of a fk on to install.Here is a how to: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes...You can do it without taking all the trim off but you'll end up cutting your hands to ribbons on the specially sharpened plastic that the Germans use to make sure you don't take short cuts by changing the cabin filter without taking all the trim off. I drove it was not impressed . I liked the 1600cc 105TC better . In the series 2 strada it had much stronger front chassis legs and the gear linkage was much better than the series 1 and had a better gearbox . Most people i speak with like the series 1 more . They only made them in left hand drive .
