Crikey, slow update but the detailing went well!Had plenty of use out of the FF recently, and have really been enjoying it. Also snuck in a bit of maintenance, as the rear pads were about ready for swapping.The brakes across the car are practically brand new now, after the replacement disc/pads towards the end of last year at the front and the replacement pads to go with the "barely worn" discs at the rear, this car should be good for the forseeable.Between the regular 'weekend car' duties I had a proper driving trip coming up involving a weekend around North Wales. The FF would be amongst a few Lotus, Porsche and the odd fast saloon and hot hatch.As it was Wales, we had rain, dry, fog, extra rain, more dry and the FF took it all in its stride. It really was a great experience and over approx. 400 miles it was a delightful place to experience some of the finest roads the UK has to offer.Driving this car moderately quickly in the wet is heaps of fun. The 4WD system gives ample traction and confidence coming out of slower corners, but before you know it you've quickly crept above the threshold in which the front axle disengages and it turns into game of creeping onto the throttle as much as you dare just enjoying the gentle yaw of the chassis pivoting around the humongous lump in the front. It didn't put a foot wrong all weekend, not so much as a single wink of a warning light, squeak, groan or rattle. I shouldn't sound surprised, as the car has done nothing to hurt my confidence in it - but when my other garage slot is dominated by a Lotus with a blown up gearbox you just learn to expect a bit of drama.Towards the end of the weekend I did something that I really should have been doing more often, which is to pile a load of mates into the car and share the experience a bit. Really reminds you just how good it is when you see the faces and reactions from well seasoned petrolheads after experiencing the sounds and acceleration, not to mention the overwhelming smell of e
