증상
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2L에서 P0420 코드 발생. 3개월 전에 촉매변환기와 산소센서를 교체했음에도 불구하고 코드가 다시 나타남.
처리 내용
어떤 센서들이 교체되었는지 확인 필요. 다운스트림 O2 센서(촉매변환기 후단)가 교체되지 않았다면 교체 필요. 그렇지 않다면 새로 장착된 촉매변환기 자체의 문제일 가능성 높음 - 저품질 제품이거나 이미 손상되었을 수 있음. 촉매변환기는 정상적으로는 저절로 고장나지 않음. 상류 시스템(엔진)이 정상이면 차량 수명까지 지속되어야 함. 다만 혼합기가 너무 진하면(연료 과다) 빠르게 손상될 수 있음. 배기가스에서 연기, 아이들링 불안정, 시동 어려움 등 비정상적인 증상이 있는지 확인. 정비소에서 전체적인 진단을 받을 것을 권장.
