Around the ring and in Adenau it got lots of pictures take and thumbs up, in the Dusseldorf traffic a nice german guy in a G81 M3 asked if I'd swap with him I'm (pleasantly) surprised you got so much attention as I remember joking to a mate when I was over at the Nurburgring last year in my old E82 125i that at least 50% of the E9x M3's in Europe must've been at the Nurburgring that weekend. I'm over in a few weeks myself in my E92 so intrigued to see how I fare, as I get the odd thumbs up in the UK but generally it goes under the radar. Admittedly you've got yours sitting absolutely perfectly and being a rarer E90 must also help!Pizzaeatingking said: While there it was noticed the valve cover is leaking oil. Turns out they're made of magnesium which has a spray coating, over time it flakes and they become porous. NRW make a replacement thats identical but made from Aluminium (as the S85 was in the M5). So they're being ordered this week, plus the fitting kit and some seal/gasket that is worth changing while it's all apart. They offer various colours but I'll likely go for OEM grey tbh. I don't know if you're already aware but it might be worth thinking about doing the VANOS covers while you're in there- the original ones are plastic and can break down over time. There's a few metal replacements available including some from NRW. My valve cover is a tiny bit weepy near where the oil filler is but for the time being I'll just clean the area up every now and then to better keep an eye on it, but when I do I'll probably sort the VANOS covers at the same time.Glad you're enjoying it and it's treating you well though, the new exhaust sounds mega. Not helping my desire for a bit more noise out of mine...
