핸드브레이크(주차 브레이크)가 작동하지 않을 때, 자동변속기의 P(주차) 단계에만 의존해도 안전한가?

처리 내용

자동변속기 차량이라면 P 단계 사용이 안전합니다. 변속기 내부의 파크 폴(park pawl)이 출력축을 기계적으로 잠금으로써 주차 브레이크보다 더 효과적입니다. P 단계에 진입할 때 차량이 약간 굴러가는 것(경사 방향에 따라 앞뒤)은 정상이며, 이는 출력축이 파크 폴에 완전히 결합되도록 하기 위한 것입니다. 급한 경사에서는 P 단계에서 빠져나올 때 폴에 걸린 부하로 인해 다소 힘이 들 수 있으나, 이것이 변속기에 손상을 주지는 않습니다.
