증상
99 Grand Prix에 애프터마켓 원격 시동 장치 장착. 날씨가 5°F 정도로 내려가면 엔진이 0.8초 크랭킹 후 시동이 걸리지 않음. 시스템이 30초 후 시동 미감지 후 재시도. 3회 시도 후에도 시동 안 걸리면 포기하고 원격/포브가 경고음 발생. 크랭킹 중 시동 불가는 배터리 방전을 초래하고, 특히 저온에서 배터리 성능 저하로 상황 악화. 배터리 소모 우려로 원격 시동 재시도 횟수 제한하고 싶음.
처리 내용
원격 시동을 0.8초 크랭킹 시간으로 유지한다면 배터리 소모에 대해 크게 걱정할 필요 없음. 실질적인 배터리 방전은 발생하지 않음. 배터리는 여러 사양이 있는데, 일반적으로 CCA(Cold Cranking Amps)가 있음. 이는 배터리가 폐쇄 회로(+와 -가 스타터 같은 장치에 연결된 상태)에서 출력할 수 있는 전력을 나타냄. 또 다른 사양은 Reserve Capacity Minutes 또는 Reserve Capacity로, 배터리가 지정된 분 동안 일정 암페어를 유지할 수 있는 시간을 설명함. 예를 들어 트럭 배터리는 약 75분 용량이고, 일반 자동차는 약 60분 정도 (중장비용은 더 높음). 0.8초씩만 크랭킹하면 reserve 용량을 거의 소모하지 않음. 엔진이 시동되면 교대 발전기(올터네이터)가 빠르게 전력을 회복함.

Useful update and great you're enjoying itMany will tell you to get the gearbox serviced, my zf8 is on easy motorway 160k and not bothered, and the car will soon depart so I don't care My sos battery went at 5 yrs so to save a trip to the garage and an annoying warning I'd get that done, tpms sensors last 5-7 years in my experience so could be good preventative measure

Well the AMG went and the Shark 6 has arrived. It was a better choice for me to be honest, with wanting to go into the dunes (see later on in the post how that went, rookie error) and for putting the kids bikes in etc etc - The long warranty and at the price they are it was a no brainer.
