엔진 브레이킹으로 감속하는 것이 올바른가?
처리 내용
엔진 브레이킹을 사용할 때 고려할 사항들: 브레이크 등이 켜지지 않음! 뒷좌석에 승객이 있을 때는 금지! 과다 회전 금지. 적절한 기어로만 감속. 기어 결합 시 무리한 힘 금지. 급회전 중 감속 후 클러치 해제는 예측 불가능한 거동 유발 가능. 한쪽 액슬만 브레이킹되어 구동방식에 따라 오버스티어/언더스티어 발생. 앤티락 기능 없음! 클러치 수명을 브레이크 수명으로 교환. 클러치 재결합 직전 가속페달을 살짝 밟으면 클러치 마모 감소 가능. 클러치 마모는 재결합 시 슬립 순간에만 발생하므로 좋은 타협안. 특히 내리막길에서 효과적. 엔진 브레이킹 시 연료 소비 없음(디스크 브레이킹으로 엔진 공회전 시와 비교). 따라서 특정 상황에서만 사용. 신호등이나 속도제한 표지판이 보일 때 부드럽게 감속하거나 내리막길에서 사용.
