This takes me back to the redneck Suffolk of my youth. The local builder's son had Morris Minor pick-up which we used to rag around the farm (we must have been 12 or 13). It had been optimised for country living. Glazing delete, door delete, pick-up tub replaced by a wooden platform, dual rear wheel back axle, massive spot light mounted on a post through the roof so it could be operated by the front seat passenger, .22 gun rests at the bottom of the A pillars and interior carpets made entirely of .22 casings. But if you opened the glovebox, there was proper metal, embossed Jack Barclay dealer plaque mounted on the flap. No idea where it came from, but it was the real deal, not something that had been half-arsed into this rusty monstrosity. I wish I could find out its provenance now. In fact I wish I could find that Moggy now.

Whilst scrolling through Facebook market place (please don't judge me!) I discovered this Riley 1.5, a car I know very little about and thought it had a charm about it that I liked. I kept scrolling but would see it popping up for about a week and a half.About a week into the occasional glance and some wishful thinking about the sort of car I would turn it into I showed Mrs. Jim.
