5.3 Triton 3V 엔진이 수동에서 5W-20을 지정하고 있으나, 매우 더운 기후(최저 20°C, 최고 45°C)에서 5W-30, 10W-30 또는 5W-40으로 변경할 수 있는지 궁금함. 엔진이 250,000km 주행함.

처리 내용

일반적으로 제조사 지정 오일 등급을 변경하지 마십시오. 이는 VVT(Variable Valve Timing)와 관련이 있습니다. 더 높은 점도의 오일로 변경하면 VVT 시스템에 문제가 발생할 수 있습니다. 엔진을 제대로 유지관리했다면 5W-20을 계속 사용해도 전혀 문제가 없습니다. 더 높은 점도 오일의 또 다른 문제는 유동성이 낮다는 것입니다. 베어링이 더 낮은 점도 오일을 기준으로 설계되었으므로, 더 높은 점도 오일을 사용하면 베어링에 필요한 오일 공급이 부족할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 하면 엔진에 손상을 줄 수 있습니다. 주의: 소유자 설명서(또는 온라인에서 찾은 것)를 확인하세요. 더운 조건에서 더 높은 점도 오일 사용을 명시하고 있을 수 있습니다. 명시되어 있다면 그대로 따르세요.
