냉간 상태에서 엔진 리크다운 테스트를 수행할 때 온간 상태와 비교하여 결과값이 어떻게 달라지는지 확인 필요. 냉간 테스트 결과가 완전히 무효인지, 아니면 2~3배 높게 나오는지 불명확함.
처리 내용
리크다운 테스트는 냉간 상태에서도 수행 가능하며, 온간 상태와의 차이는 생각보다 크지 않음. 양호한 엔진의 냉간 리크다운은 5% 미만으로 유지됨. 피스톤 링이 보어와의 간격을 메우므로 엔진 온도에 관계없이 큰 차이 없음. 다만 밸브 클리어런스가 거의 0에 가까울 때는 냉간 상태에서 눈에 띄는 차이가 발생할 수 있음. 원링 갭(예: 세컨드 링 0갭)이 작을수록 냐간 테스트에서 0~4% 정도 나타났다가 온간 상태에서는 0%에 가까워짐. 정확한 테스트를 위해서는 엔진을 데우는 것이 권장되지만, 냉간 상태에서의 테스트도 참고 자료로 유용함.
