증상
13년간 자동차를 자주 운행하지 않아 6개월마다 약 2000마일만 주행. 최근 합성유로 변경했는데, 특히 합성유/혼합유의 경우 기존 광유보다 덜 열화되므로 6개월 교환 주기를 엄격하게 지켜야 하는지 궁금함. 품질 좋은 오일은 주행거리 제한을 7.5k~10k마일까지 연장할 수 있다고 알고 있음.
처리 내용
오일 열화는 두 가지 이유로 발생함: (1) 엔진 사용에 따른 열화 - 주행거리(마일리지)에 따라 카본, 미량의 수분, 미연소 가솔린이 오일에 혼입되어 오일을 오염시킴. 필터가 카본을 제거하지만 필터도 결국 포화됨. 수분은 블로우바이를 통해 미량 혼입되지만 엔진 완전 가열 시 증발함. 미연소 가솔린은 오일에 남아 오일 첨가제 분해를 촉진. (2) 첨가제 패키지의 시간 경과에 따른 열화 - 주행거리와 무관하게 시간 경과로도 진행. 합성유는 열화 속도가 느리지만, 6개월 휴차 상태에서도 첨가제는 계속 분해됨. 교환 주기는 '주행거리 또는 6개월' 중 먼저 도래하는 시점을 기준으로 함. 제조사 권장을 따르되, 단기 주행 패턴이면 시간 경과 열화를 무시할 수 없으므로 6개월 주기를 준수하는 것이 안전함.

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
