These included rod bearings replaced, throttle actuators replaced, diff rebuilt, fuel pump replaced, DCT service including filter and seals, all the belts and pulleys replaced, oil and filter, discs and pads replaced and a new alternator. The alternator was an immediate issue but everything else was done for piece of mind or a consumable and while I never bought it to run on a shoe string when I think how cheap my 340i was to run I realise how good I had it! I'm more than happy to cover its upkeep though, it's such a nice car to drive, I look forward to every trip in it. Hopefully I've got a good solid car now though so I thought it's finally time to get busy with some fun stuff. The 513m are being refurbished, they should have been ready about a week ago so I need to chase them up but last week I dropped the car in for a little suspension work. I'd planned to fit a KW HAS kit but I was looking at coilover kits and BC Racing do a kit for the car offering various types of adjustability for £400 more than the KW setup. My plan will be to eventually put some top end coilovers on it (that will no doubt be overkill for a garage queen) but for now I just needed to get rid of the arch gap on the front. The car went in for them to be fitted last week, so far I've not driven it a huge amount but from what I have I'm quite impressed for what they cost. My mate runs a garage, does a bit of racing and knows his stuff so I left it to him to decide on the exact setup, they're firmer but not much more so than the original suspension in the firmest setting. I'm fussy with ride height so I've spent a bit of time adjusting it over the weekend but final adjustments will be done when the 513s make an appearance. The arches themselves are wide but there's a little bit of arch liner on the rear that catches the edge of the tyre over bumps. I've got 12mm spacers on t
