증상
한쪽 앞바퀴가 제자리에 중심이 잡혀있지 않으며, 그 방향으로 약간의 풀림(pulling) 현상이 발생합니다. 약 1년 전에 해당 측면의 쇼크 마운트, 서스펜션 암, 액슬 부트, 휠 베어링을 교체했고, 양쪽 쇼크 업소버도 교체한 상태입니다. 2009년식 도요타 야리스 HB입니다.
처리 내용
몇 가지 앞 서스펜션 문제가 의심되지만, 컨트롤 암 부시(control arm bushing)가 가장 의심됩니다. 부시가 손상되거나 파손되면 휠을 제자리에 잡아두는 컨트롤 암 전체가 움직일 수 있습니다. 보통 범프를 넘을 때 심한 딸깍거리는 소음이 동반됩니다. 당연히 연석에 부딪히거나 유사한 충격이 있었다면 뭔가 휘거나 부러졌을 수 있습니다. 충격이 없었다면 서스펜션 부품들을 점검해야 합니다. 해당 바퀴를 조용히 들어올린 후 잡아당겨서 사방으로 움직여보세요. 정상이면 움직이지 않아야 하며, 움직인다면 그 움직임이 느슨한 부품을 찾는 데 도움이 될 것입니다.
