I part exchanged my one year old Range Rover SVR for a DBX707 and have no regrets whatsoever. For a start the DBX drives so much better (on road that is) it a good 300 kgs lighter than a Sport and perhaps half a tonne lighter than a proper Range Rover.I love Range Rovers, I’ve owned 6, but the DBX is probably the best driver’s car in its segment.I recently was invited by Land Rover to try the entire Range Rover offering and if you like being completely insulated from the road with no steering feel tins great, probably even better as a passenger (my son loved the reclining seat in the back), I also had an long test drive in their Sport SV, really nice but again DBX is much better in my opinion again because of the lighter weight and better road holding and steering feel.I also had an long test drive in the Defender Octa and that’s something else, very different car, slightly bonkers which I love.I think the Octa is the pick of the Range and should I ever decidé I’ve had enough of my DBX and fancied a change that’s where my money would go. Problem is it would have to be second hand as the MY27 loses 100HP! A real shame. But plenty available in stock with the full 635 HP from the BMW M5.

That would do me grand in a Defender Hardtop Commercial, if I'm towing I'm rarely doing long journeys with a digger on the back. Can we have that next please JLR?150 miles for a motorway run out of town as no one is going to spend that kind of money to then hypermile like a pensioner. 200 and a bit around town as no one is going to be skimping on aircon/heating like a dribbling fanatic. All it has to do as a first iteration is feed some early urban demand. I
Cheers both, that’s a really useful recommendation, I did see Sreten’s post the other day too.I have looked at similar aftermarket solutions before, but I’ve always questioned the quality and fit, but I think I’ll give one a go this time. It’s got to be better than what’s on there currently.I’m normally a bit of a stickler when it comes to genuine parts, just for the fit and finish, but I think this time I’ll give them a shot. They are rarely seen and there is always a good chance if I do go OEM, it will only take a low kerb to potentially destroy £300‘s worth of plastic….
Top work and a wonderful result. Just shows what BMW could have done had they decided to. Glad it did not turn into M5 WOE ! Wonder if that one exists?

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
