My Volvo is black exterior with cream/ivory interior, and the car gets heavy use including transporting a wet/dirty labrador around the British Isles - it's not that hard to keep clean inside.I had a chat about this with the sales staff when I ordered the car and they agreed the Volvos of old with light carpets and mats were a nightmare, however now even when you spec a light interior the carpets and mats are dark, the boot interior, rear of back seats and the boot surround plastics are dark also, so you get the benefit of brighter cabin with light seats, roof and door cards whilst the car is relatively easy to keep clean.In all honesty the seat belts are the only things that are a pain to clean and look grubby at times, and having a light interior probably means it gets treated better as you notice any dirt and so clean it more frequently - black interiors are probably on average dirtier it's just that you don't notice it Edited by Neil-nvaua on Thursday 20th August 09:56 I don't like the black carpets or the black mats in this against the light coloured seats/interior though, so you can't win really I reckon.
