ok so admittedly not a lot has been happening. with this have been slowly sorting bits and pieces out for it. as mentioned earlier in the thread the car wanted two front tyres for the mot having a look over the rear end this quickly turned to 4 so 4 new yokohama blue earth were ordered in 195 50 15 size. these were the cheapest known brand i could get hold of as eventually plan is some 16" wheels either TTE or Turinis.current wheels are corolla alloys not the prettiest but in decent nick and seem to fit the profile of the car okrear is still on axle stands for time being, rear has had rear brakes stripped down, cleaned, adjusted, greased, refitted. both rear wheel bearings have had old manky grease removed and some new grease put on them and rebuilt the side had the tiniest amount of play that was the securing nut loose retightened and new split pins usedfront brakes were then replaced with new discs and pads, everything came apart perfectly. i did want to paint the calipers black but quickly realised im going to have to wait till summer to get a decent job donefinal plans under the arches are a good pressure wash, some karust on the rust scabs then a good going over with lanoguard grease and spray to try and maintain what the underneath looks like. in other news i never received the logbook as previous owner misplaced it the old owner had promised to send it when he came across it unfortunately he passed away not long ago so it looked as though i would have to apply for v62. however his mum got in contact today with missing logbook so ownership was transferred. this was a fantastic gesture from her as given the awful circumstances she must be going through it would of been brushed aside and forgotten abouthopefully therell be a bit more progress on this now the weather finally improves and the light is abit longer each day fingers crossed
