2008 현대 엘란트라, 주행거리 232,000마일. 최근 두 차례 발생(지난주, 2일 전). 연료를 가득 채우고 시동을 걸면 시동이 꺼짐. 다시 시동을 걸면 액셀 페달을 살짝 밟아야 하고, 페달에서 발을 떼면 시동이 꺼질 것 같은 느낌이 들지만 꺼지지 않음. 그 이후로는 정상 작동.

브레이크 캘리퍼 슬라이더 핀(가이드 핀)에 안티-사이즈를 사용해도 되는지 궁금함. 일부 정보에서는 권장하지 않는다고 하지만, 정비사는 슬라이더 핀을 정비할 때 와이어 휠로 버프질한 후 안티-사이즈 또는 신스 브레이크 윤활유로 윤활하는 것이 모두 수용 가능하다고 조언함.

변속기 오일 교환

2006 아우디 A3, 1.6L 가솔린 엔진, 자동변속기. 간헐적 시동 불량 - 세 번째 시도에서 시동됨. 콜드스타트 시에는 발생하지 않으며, 최대 세 번째 시도에서는 항상 시동됨. 언제든 시동이 걸리지 않을 수 있다는 우려.

Recently a relative was bragging about their new mower, with a new Briggs and Stratton "Just Check and Add" engine, with no oil change recommendation. Better than sliced bread. I remember when a loud bang followed by a thud was heard from a neighbor's riding mower one Saturday morning. His still shiny mower, about three years old, had thrown a rod. The oil sump was dry. When asked, he said that no one told him he ever had to add oil. That memory ran through my head with the pitching of the Just Check and Add engine. 2016 마즈다 CX-5, 주행거리 25,000km. 정기검사에서 배기가스 분석 시 가속(약 2,500rpm, A/C 오프)할 때 HC-PPM이 160으로 측정됨. 기준치는 100이므로 부적합. 차량은 양호한 상태이고 마즈다 딜러에서 정기정비 받음.

10년간 보관 중인 윈터 타이어 사용 가능 여부 확인. 트레드는 양호하나 장기 보관으로 인한 러버 손상 가능성 우려.

최근에 연료 탱크를 채울 때 펌프가 조기에 꺼지는 문제 발생. 유튜브 영상에서는 EVAP 활성탄 캐니스터(charcoal canister)가 막혔을 가능성을 지적. 2010 Corolla 해치백(Corolla Auris)에서 EVAP 캐니스터의 위치를 찾을 수 없음.
