So I've bought another XJ-S, and this time it's the XJ-S that starred in the recent Sky series 'Curfew', which stars Sean Bean (who drives this car). It got delivered last night after I purchased it at the H&H auction in Buxton on Wednesday - and its already taken a bit of a battering over on the Classics Spotted thread. Obviously the car isn't standard, and amongst the modifications is the addition of a manual gearbox, upgraded suspension (from the brief look I had under the car), a hydraulic handbrake, a tiny race fuel tank, wider arches and wheels and the side exit exhausts. I absolutely loved the V8 4.8 naturally aspirated engine that was in my old X5 4.8iS, so I definitely have a soft spot for this. Plus I loved that you could get these with a manual too.

I’m currently laid up at home after an op and have just gone through this thread from start to finish. What a fantastic collection of cars and the way you approach the running and upkeep of them makes for fascinating reading. I also have a particular soft spot for English bull terriers so any shot of Frank is a highlight too...

스즈키 짐니(JB23W) | 2026년07월23일 정비 기록 | 공정 1: ATF 교환. 호환 AT스트레이너에 딸려온 패킹이 불량이어서 정품을 다시 장착했습니다. 추가로 드라이브샤프트 부츠 교환 시 요크의 방향이 잘못되어 있었으므로 수정했습니다.

Lovely car OP. :thumbsup: A mate of a mate used to race a manual XJS in the JEC series until the engine broke a few years ago, and he hasn't managed to get it rebuilt yet. But what a great car!
