We have family visiting from overseas and I've managed to drive into their rental car whilst getting off my driveway this morning Damage is to their driver's door, a shallow crease about 20cm long, the scuffs have all polished out. Car is a slightly tatty 72-plate MG and there are a few dings and scrapes in other places. I'm not really sure how best to proceed, they are planning to take it back and plead ignorance / hope it isn't noticed (they have it for a few more weeks). I think their excess is mega but assume if the damage is spotted they will only be charged for the amount of the repair?

Hi AllI have an insurance question.I am in the process of selling my Campervan, the insurance expires on the 31st.I am naturally hoping to sell it before then, but if I don t then I may need say another 2 weeks at worst case scenario.On insurance do you have a 2 week cancellation clause, upon taking a policy out?I don t want to renew for another year, but I know most companies when they got hold of your money they unlikely to give it back.Any ideas?Thanks Edited by Nesty1760 on Saturday 18th July 12:55

크래프츠맨 제설기(모델 247.889702)가 시동이 안 걸림. 겨울철에 휘발유를 방치했다가 여름을 거쳐 시동을 시도했으나 작동하지 않음. 카뷰레터가 거뭉쳐 있는 것을 발견하고 카뷰레터 볼과 본체를 카브 클리너로 세척하고 구 휘발유를 드레인한 후 새 휘발유를 넣었으나 여전히 시동이 안 걸림.

거의 운전하지 않는 차량(월 100마일)에서 휘발유를 채울 때 권장보다 높은 옥탄가의 휘발유를 사용하는 것이 이점이 있는지 궁금함. 휘발유가 오래 방치되면 옥탄가가 낮아진다는 이야기를 들었음. 이러한 이야기가 사실인지 확인하고 싶음. 만약 사실이라면 권장 옥탄가 수준을 유지하기 위해 더 높은 옥탄가 휘발유를 사용하는 것이 합리적인지 알고 싶음.

연료 필터를 교체하면서 이전 필터가 역방향으로 설치되었음을 발견. 몇 개월 동안 이 상태로 차량을 사용함.

제조사 권장 오일 점도 0W-20에서 팬사이트에서 추천하는 5W-40으로 변경 시 연비, 엔진 마모, 일상 주행 성능에 미치는 영향 문의

토요타 비츠 2007년형이 에어컨 켤 때 공회전이 불규칙함. 에어컨을 끄면 공회전이 부드러워짐. 교통체증에서 갑자기 정지할 때 진동이 더 심함. 정지 직후 몇 번의 거친 진동이 발생한 후 부드러워짐. 연료 필터 청소, 에어 필터 및 에어컨 필터 교체, 엔진 오일 교체 등의 정비를 받았으나 문제 미해결.

OBD2 데이터를 사용하여 자동차의 연료 소비량을 추정하려고 함. 일반 연료의 경우 화학량론적 공연비를 적용하면 비교적 간단하지만, 플렉스 연료(flex fuel) 차량의 경우 정확한 계산이 어려움. 각 연료의 혼합 비율을 알려주는 센서가 있는지, 또는 플렉스 연료 차량의 순간 연료 소비량이 어떻게 계산되는지 불명확함.

13년간 자동차를 자주 운행하지 않아 6개월마다 약 2000마일만 주행. 최근 합성유로 변경했는데, 특히 합성유/혼합유의 경우 기존 광유보다 덜 열화되므로 6개월 교환 주기를 엄격하게 지켜야 하는지 궁금함. 품질 좋은 오일은 주행거리 제한을 7.5k~10k마일까지 연장할 수 있다고 알고 있음.
