증상
에어컨 컴프레서 베어링이 손상되어 엔진룸에서 소음 발생. 1년 전 충돌로 인해 베어링이 휜 것으로 추정되며, 마모가 진행 중인 상태
처리 내용
에어컨 컴프레서를 교체해야 함. 베어링이 완전히 손상되면 풀리가 이탈하면서 벨트 구동식 다른 부품들(알터네이터, 워터펌프, 파워스티어링)의 구동력을 잃게 됨. 알터네이터 미작동 시 결국 배터리 방전으로 엔진 정지, 워터펌프 미작동 시 엔진 과열 및 엔진 고착 발생 가능, 파워스티어링 미작동 시 조향 제어 곤란. 또한 벨트/풀리가 이탈하면서 라디에이터 손상 가능성도 있음. 중요한 주행 중에 이런 상황이 발생할 수 있으므로 가능한 한 빨리 정비를 받을 것을 권장. 셀펜타인 벨트는 하나의 보조부품만 빼고 제거할 수 없음.

For those who have followed my previous MX-5 thread, you may remember that I was considering purchasing a new car for some time. The arrival of my son hadn't forced my hand per-se (we have another family car), but with the MX-5 being a two-seater, it's become such a lonely car. re. the refrigerant - If you take the car to Quik-Fit they will empty the system for free (probably best to ring first to check but I've done it on a few cars..). This is actually a requirement if you work on the AC system of a car as the gas is pretty nasty for you and the environment.Once that's done it's pretty simple, just nuts n bolts but do fit a replacement drier though if you're opening the system up.
