증상
2005 Toyota Highlander 휘발유 모델. 연료를 가득 채운 후 3일간 차고에 방치 (밤 기온이 영하 근처, 워싱턴 주). 시동 걸 때 배기구에서 검은 연기가 많이 발생. 그 이후 엔진은 정상 작동.
처리 내용
시동 시 검은 연기는 실린더로 유입되거나 밸브에 묻은 오일 누유의 신호. 밸브 씰 마모 가능성이 높음. 헤드 개스킷 누유나 헤드 균열로 인해 저압 오일이 실린더나 밸브에 서서히 흘러내려 누적될 가능성도 있음. 고압 누유라면 지속적인 검은 연기가 발생할 텐데, 시동 시에만 발생하는 것으로 보아 장시간 정지 후 누적된 오일이 배출되는 것으로 추정됨. 엔진 총 주행거리, 정기적인 오일 교환 이력, 과열 상태에서의 장시간 주행 경험 여부를 확인 필요. 엔진 수명 추정: 약 200,000마일 정도로 예상되며, 정기적인 오일 교환 이력에 따라 달라짐.
