I would hope that a company engineering a car wouldn't screw up quite so badly!Was he even an employee? Surely more likely a consultant who would have been paid to produce a design that the client will own. There's no way car companies commission designs from consultants only not to own the bloody design. I doubt any car designers own any of their designs that ended up actually being used in a production car.
