Got loads done yesterday with my buddies help. Got the rear brake a mocked up so I could fit so hose tabs. My buddy got all the crusty bits all cleaned up and ready to paint. I cleaned up the suspension arms as although there in good condition, there that light grey colour, I want everything black. Well pleased that's all done, as been dreading the clean up and painting as I hate it. All the ex escort parts were in abit of a state I'm guessing never been done. I'm really tempted to use this grp dash I need to find out if it's wide enough but I think I would looks much nicer than the the f

chassis is still at the powder coater, how ever i have been plodding along with other bits not my best welds i did clean, heat and scrub it 3 or 4 times but still had contamination however I'm confident there not going anywhere . no one can see them anyway next job was to check the rod bearings, and fit some ARP bolts the F20 is known for eating rod bearings however i was quite pleased to see how the old ones came out although its ingested something at some point no 1 was probably the worst set. Honda has a colour coded system for rod bearing which you can decode from the cranks stamped numbers, the engine had the below in it no1 yellow no2 yellow no3 brown no4 Greenwhich is good because that's exactly what the crank specs call for. so i order ne ones to fit. still wanted to double check though and this is what Honda manual tell you to do . Honda specs are 0.030mm to 0.054 mm , with a service limit of up to 0.060mm3 were 0.050mm with no4 marginally bigger but still under 0.054 id say. slightly the wrong order but i had also checked the timing was all correct on the marks very pleased with the engine so fare the coolant is clean, and so is the oil and inside the engine everything is clean. there was nothing in the oil pan too borrowed my buddies shot blaster and cleaned up the rocker cover ready for paint. as the budget as fully gone out the window now, and ive sold the green car. hopfully my wallet can keep up with me. just wan this to be spot on from the get go. skimping now is just going to annoy me later.

Where Maserati falls short is something like a suspension part on a Maserati 4200 that is nla.The availability or price of parts on a Maserati can quite rightly receive c

It was used in the Corolla GTi though.Yes I know it wasn't used in the Celica what I'm getting at is it would of upset the applecart. If it had a 4age in it. It would of been as quick, if not quicker than the Celica so why would anyone have spent double on buying a Celica every car has its place in a manufacturers line up. This was placed in the budget friendly coupe. Do you think putting the 1.6L 112bhp 4AGE engine in the Paseo would have made it quicker than the 2.0L 173bhp 3SGE engine mk6

I can't recall whether you've fitted lowering springs to the Corsa (or if the ecoFLEX model is fitted with them as standard), but aren't B8s for cars with lowering springs, whereas B6s are for standard springs?2. When various BMW guys on here fit Eibach lowering springs to their cars, they tend to fit B4S dampers as they've found B8s to be too firm.
