This looks so slender and elegant nowadays. Amazing none of the XKs were manual but yet this was. A rare beast indeed.

The manual really changes the driving experience and is the only reason I would have an X300 XJR over and X308 XJR. The manual gives the XJR a real sense of "fun to drive" whereas with auto it is really good, but just not as much fun. That said, it's a heavy clutch and a relatively slow. deliberate gear shift and if I had to do a lot of town driving I really wouldn't want the manual ! In fact, I chose to drive the X308 because the V8 rev;s so much better and the extra gear in the 5 speed Merc auto makes a big difference with a lower 1st gear and smaller ratio steps It approaches the fun of the manual X300 whilst retaining all of the comfort and convenience of the auto

Fun fact: The Series 2 Citroen CX wing mirrors were used by some sports and supercar royalty back in the day: Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1 prototypes and various Aston Martins, Lotus and TVRs. Not a bad claim to fame.

A somewhat unbalanced duo which is acknowledged from the start in this head to head. I would never put these two on the same page and i found myself unpicking the Porsche rather than comparing it to the Morgan. Despite the indifferences the 911 wins out.

I got the make and basic model in three - not Cardle's answer though. Ironically I intended to type in Challenger but ended up typing Charger for some reason - so I got it right by default!

If its styling fuses a little 6GT with a little 720S, I can't see it going far wrong.Building an SUV is a sad but perhaps necessary evil. Performance manufacturers should really look at a different set of priorities to luxury marques. A McLaren, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, or even Bentley SUV should be something that could conceivably win a race. Make the body low and wide, and if it has to be jacked up, make it jacked up for sand dunes and mud pits, not Kensington kerbs and speedbumps. Most importantly, make it weigh less! Else there's no S about it, it's just a big fat squishy UV.
