Some great threads running at the moment. So, of the cars you have owned, which three were the most enjoyable to drive?Edited to add… runners up can be included Edited by baconsarney on Tuesday 1st September 10:46
The three most enjoyable, in no particular order are:1991 Mazda Rx7 Turbo IIThis car was owned from new by a senior Mazda exec in the UK, and had a one off interior. Having been into rotaries for years I found this less than a mile from my workshop, languishing outside in bits at a HGV repair place. Rebuilt it and ran it for a couple of years; it was straight piped, had a few HKS goodies and a RE:Amemiya ECU. It was huge fun, incredibly quick for the time, (270bhp) and would shoot 5ft flames on the overrun. 1992 Toyota/Lexus Soarer1JZ twin turbo, absolute luxury on the inside, and used to give M3s a good hiding on the M23 commuting from London to West Sussex in the early hours - it was a revellation, and the first car I owned that made me feel like I'd arrived. (and you could do rolling burnouts with ease!) 1979 Mazda MontroseFitted with a 13B-RE / 13B / 13B-REW (mix of parts to get mounting points etc) that was bridge ported and running a huge turbo. The whole thing weighed well under a ton and was utterly mental. If I hadn't been so broke at the time I would still have it!

It was amazing and I will probably miss it slightly for the roads on my doorstep but.... I wanted something that had a bit more 'jump in and go'Initially thought 30th Anniversary ND MX5 but still wanted something that had a bit of spice about it and so Toyota Elise came to the fore. I've owned an Elise before a beautiful 111s S1 but it was so raw with the short gearing it made the Caterham feel easier for euro trips. Anyway after speaking to Back In Track in Guildford we landed on a 111R a

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an

미니 쿠퍼
Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.
