More to the point: what's happening with the Curfew XJ-S?

์ฒ˜๋ฆฌ ๋‚ด์šฉ

Thanks all, no intention of stopping posting. I post elsewhere anyway so fairly easy, and it is a nice simple log of what is going on and has gone on. The red XJS' fuel tank is now back (I think I posted that?), and I've got to order the new carpets. Hoping to get the tank fitted next week. The Curfew Jag hasn't moved in a long time. I am half considering getting it out for the Jag event at Bicester, but given that I can't really be bothered to go anyway and don't really enjoy the Curfew Jag.... it seems unlikely. This week has been pretty simple.Parts have arrived for the (white) BentleyParts have arrived for the DinoThe E-Type FHC has been inspected and needs a thorough service and the steering rack bushes are shot to pieces, so they will be ordered too.The Merak's N/S/R brake was indeed binding with the pads not releasing the disc and getting stuck on the sliders. The O/S/R was also affected. Both have been sorted and it is just awaiting a road test. Sadly I am going to count it out of taking it to Brooklands on Saturday, especially with no temp gauges still (in progress)I've been pootling around in my other half's DD6 since its MOT. It has covered 1,000 miles in those few short weeks and will be due a service next week. Here's some fuel economy statsAnd yesterday this got delivered. Fiat have kindly loaned it to me for a week to try out, which somewhat balances out dailying a V12 ETA... Sorry, I also forgot that there is something being delivered tomorrow. Whilst scrolling through Facebook market place (please don't judge me!) I discovered this Riley 1.5, a car I know very little about and thought it had a charm about it that I liked. I kept scrolling but would see it popping up for about a week and a half.About a week into the occasional glance and some wishful thinking about the sort of car I would turn it into I showed Mrs. Jim. Normally she would roll her eyes and pat me on the head and tell me "ok", this time she said "why not go and have a look?" We turn up at this yard and it is stacked out in classic cars which just amazed me, they had

BMW X1

Been using an X1 all week, my eldests daily as he borrowed my Jaguar XJ for a trip up to Scotland.Didnt really relish the prospect as always thought it a bit of a boring lump but after a few days with it, I have to say I gelled with it.2.0 diesel Xdrive, goes ok but what impressed me was the ride and handling, was thinking would be a bit roly poly but I threw it about a bit and its amazingly competent and even, dare I say it, quite good fun. Plus its very practical and handles bumpy roads quite well.Did get me thinking that I would consider something like an X3 next, one with the 3.0 petrol, b
