You can do less. The question is, how much "less" than that is reasonable? My opinion (and others' opinions I think) would be that 56mph on a 70mph motorway is too slow, because you will be caught up by lorries. If there is a single car doing 50, in the left lane, and with nothing in front of it, and if the lorry needs to overtake it, then that car is too slow. There are times when there is something in front of that car doing 56. That gets more interesting, because they will need a sensible gap to go past, and the 80+ train going past them doesn't give them that opportunity. I've been in that situation, and the lorry driver behind me still sits on my tail, flashing his headlights. What does he want me to do?!!Where it gets more difficult is on single carriageways, NSL 60, i.e. ordinary "A" roads out of town. If 60 is available, then my opinion is that 48 is too slow, for similar reasons. But there is more to it.There are more hazards to take account of, and very often 60 is impossible. There are country lanes with blind bends where the limit is 60, to take an obvious example. Some A roads have enough hazards to warrant a slower-than-50 speed. On a road I use two or three times a week, there is "Y" shaped junction, with not great visibility, and I slow to less than 50 to traverse that. The driver behind me often has other ideas, perhaps hasn't seen the junction, or hasn't assessed the danger, and to them I'm "insanely slow".It's not a simple decision. Another factor is eco. On another road, NSL 60, the 60 lasts about half a mile, from exiting a 40 until a set of traffic lights where, even if the lights are in your favour, you'll need to be below 30 to get round the corners. So is 60 necessary or appropriate for that half a mile. I say no.The limit is your maximum. For those of us wit

Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an
