증상
큰 팝음이 들린 후 브레이크 페달에 저항감이 없음. 시스템에 외부 누유 없음. 마스터 실린더 교체 및 브레이크 블리딩 시도했으나 여전히 페달이 쉽게 내려가고 천천히 올라옴. 진공 부스터 없음. 2003년식 쉐보레 익스프레스 밴.
처리 내용
외부 누유가 없다는 점은 내부 시스템 누유를 나타냄. 이 증상에서 가장 흔한 결함은 브레이크 호스 파단. 유연한 브레이크 호스는 내부 호스를 외부 호스가 감싼 구조. 내부 호스가 파단되면 브레이크 페달을 밟을 때 브레이크 액이 내부와 외부 호스 사이로 유입되고, 페달을 놓으면 액이 내부 호스로 돌아옴 - 따라서 외부 누유 없음. 한 사람이 브레이크 페달을 밟으면서 각 유연한 호스를 개별적으로 점검. 가압 시 호스가 부풀어 오르는 현상이 있으면 결함이 있는 것이므로 교체해야 함.
