Cars have all got bigger, but paradoxically less comfortable over the years, in my opinion.

I haven't had similar cars from years far enough apart to make a conclusion, and I guess it depends what you mean by comfortable, but levels of noise etc have surely reduced, and ride comfort is excellent these days unless you go for something designed to feel sportier.Try buying a used BMW that isn't an M Sport, or an Audi that isn't an S Line, all with sports suspension. Also, most cars seem to be SUVs now, which need firmer suspension. Unless they have air suspension, I'm not aware of any with a remarkably good ride. My E28 and E46 BMWs rode much better, as did my 1989 Audi 90. My Mark 2 Jag, with leaf springs, rode better than the brand new Jag XF I bought. Buy a Skoda with decent spec and they automatically come with bigger wheels and lower profile tyres. Same with Lexus, same with Volvo.I had a E89 Z4 SE on 17 inch wheels, it was exceptionally comfortable. The 35is with adaptive M Sport suspension, not so much!I have an A6 Allroad that is not S Line, also very comfortable. My previous car was an SUV (Yeti), very soft and comfortable suspension (driven with 16, 17 and 19 inch wheels). How old were you when you were driving 80s/90s cars, and how old are you now?

Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an
