These big blocky SUVs keep coming. Interestingly most are extended range EVs, so a big battery but a small combustion engine as well. Kit levels course are outstanding and the quality is pretty good. Bet JLR sell only a handful of the electric RR in China

Different tax bands and tax treatments exist perfectly legitimately across multiple vehicle types, not just electric. Just because someone pays less tax for their car than the next man, does not mean they are being "funded". That aside though, they've been so generous to full EVs for two reasons: Firstly, people don't really like change/new tech. So there needs to be some early adopter advantage to get the ball rolling. Secondly and in my view more importantly, a full EV is still not as convenient as a comparable ICE car hence incentives are required to get the company buyers into them. The market talks at the end of the day and without the tax benefits, people by and large would still go ICE. Go figure. 20k miles a year Taycan driver here, funded through the Company. Would I buy it or any other premium electric vehicle with my own money without the tax advantages....absolutely not. And you'll be glad to hear that they are starting to take away those tax advantages over the next few years (or at least erode the perceived benefit), which means I'll be dumping the pure EV and going hybrid in 2027.

The battery within that car is owned by the lender and forms an integral part of the collateral for that debt. Ach, no. You could say the same about any other part of the car - engine, gearbox, carpets, seat bolsters, whatever - and batteries look like being a lot longer lasting than many of the things in a car that many people can comprehensively ruin within three years. You don't get any lease company saying you can't smoke in your car, be 30st, or no

Useful update and great you're enjoying itMany will tell you to get the gearbox serviced, my zf8 is on easy motorway 160k and not bothered, and the car will soon depart so I don't care My sos battery went at 5 yrs so to save a trip to the garage and an annoying warning I'd get that done, tpms sensors last 5-7 years in my experience so could be good preventative measure

Well the AMG went and the Shark 6 has arrived. It was a better choice for me to be honest, with wanting to go into the dunes (see later on in the post how that went, rookie error) and for putting the kids bikes in etc etc - The long warranty and at the price they are it was a no brainer. So I had never head of this until moving to Dubai a few months back, test drove one and it was quicker than the previous Raptor I trialled so it now had my interest. It has a monstrous Chinese 1.5 powerhouse and dual electric motors. Combined power: 436 hpCombined torque: 650 Nm0-100 km/h: 5.7 secondsTop speed
