Which is fine for the anti-EVers who've actually tried a few different EVs. Though odd, because there's a mantra from such people that all ICEs are different, but all EVs are the same. But the ones who"simply enjoy the feel of an ICE more" but have never tried an EV are, I'm sure you'll agree, a basing their opinion on ignorance. Which is always foolish.

I had to leave one of the "classic cars spotted" groups on FB (though not the one with that actual name) because people would trot out the MR2 line every single time there was a Ferrari posted, as if it's the funniest line in the history of the world. And, as is common in FB groups, a day or two after the first comedian had blessed us with their wit, someone else would say exactly the same thing because they haven't read the previous comments.

You will have people in 600hp EVs that would never have got there in a petrol car. Plus also you have people now getting into 600hp cars at a young age Vs the ICE route was always start off with a 90hp Polo or whatever and it might take you 20 years before you got that M5. Plenty of time to get used to the power gradually. TX. TX, when will you accept that EVs are the future of the car? It’s completely and utterly pointless pushing back against the inevitable progress? Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more. But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. And only a handful remain. It's a car I've had a yearning to own and got outbid on one at auction many years ago. More recently I contacted a seller on FB, we agreed a price and then he blocked me...So I broke the first rule of car buying and bought one s

I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
