In my earlier examples, I'd love either a Delorean or a DS despite the engines being st. I think a either would be a perfect EV conversion candidate.

If I wanted something "drivable and reliable", I'd buy something modern(ish) in the first place. I think most of the appeal of classic cars to me can be summed as by the fact they stink and are not very drivable; and I have to take them apart and fix them regularly. And there's clearly a linear set of wants away from that; the guy who fits LED bulbs, a modern ignition system or a working heater, the guy who goes full restomod, or the old boy who still loves being out in his car (and partaking in the associated community) but goes EV because arthritis makes kneeling on a concrete floor *really* unappealing.
