As above, not only do we have more dawdlers, they seem really put out when you overtake. Had a few instances , and sometimes I can see them coming. Had a car and a camper flashing and beeping after a clear straight overtake.Had a guy that blocked L2 of a stratch of Dual road 100% to stop be passing - pulled out the moment we joined it and sat at 58. When I eventually floored it and passed as the dualing went back to single he gave me a slow clap. I gave him the bird and shot off.Then last week had one where I overtook, in an NSL, road a good 4 cars wide. Not another car in sight other than the

I was high in 3rd gear before I got past him. My car does 100 in 3rd.What's the legal story around speeding in this kind of situation? Accelerating while being overtaken is considered dangerous, and might even be illegal (the highway code certainly tells you not to)- so it's not your fault that you ended up speeding. But is it a sufficient defence?I would hope that a police officer who sees something like this happen would focus on the obstructor and not the overtaker.Oh I'm sure we'd both get done, but the highway code does clearly say you should not speed up to impeded someone's overtake (something like that).
