A Flat 6 has plenty of history paired with being fairly unique in it's use by Porsche in purely sporting modelsA turbo flat 4 has history too and is also fairly unique but not in Porsches, and not in purely sporting cars.Porsche have history with (arguably) less charismatic inline turbo 4's so the push back on the flat 4 turbo engine I felt was unfair in Porsche's entry level stuff.We are however in an era where legislation is clamping down heavily on character... well sound really... and there are few 4cylinder cars, FI, inline or boxer these days that can present any imo. I've been a massive fan of petrol V8's since I was a nipper, and they actually like the Nissan Z over there as well. Plus I've always loved Mustangs, and I like most of the Corvettes too.
