I have a 2022 Chevy Bolt with around 88K miles on it now. As far as I can tell, there’s little to no battery degradation on it. I’m sure it’s not like it was when brand new…but the estimated range is at or exceeding what it’s supposed to be every day. EVs are not nearly as scary as some people think.

I drive a 97 Honda Accord and just recently started experiencing an issue where while driving, my ignition suddenly shuts off. Sometimes when this happens I’m able to turn the key and get the ignition started right back up while coasting, but usually forces me to coast to the side of the road instead to throw it in park and restart ignition (instantly, no sputtering). We have a Honda Civic Hybrid with 204,000 miles on it. It’s my wife’s car and she commutes fifty miles every day in it. Late last week her IMA (hybrid battery) light came on. The last time this happened was 7 years ago. The battery pack was under warranty at the time and Honda replaced it. That warranty has since expired. 2012 Malibu, 140k. Started about 1-2 months ago. It cranks but doesn’t start. The lights, radio, etc, come on just fine. I replaced the battery first off. The parts shop said the battery was borderline, it was due, so I replaced it. Still having it. Sometimes it starts and runs fine. Sometimes it cranks but doesn’t start.
