증상
2002 Mercury Cougar에서 브레이크를 밟을 때마다 큰 갈리는 소리가 난다. 때때로 드라이브 기어에서 차가 뒤로 굴러간다.
처리 내용
이 두 문제는 서로 관련이 없을 가능성이 높다. 브레이크를 밟을 때 갈리는 소리가 나면서 브레이크를 밟지 않을 때는 삐걱거리지 않는 경우, 보통 녹슬었거나 손상된 브레이크 로터가 원인이다. 해결 방법은 브레이크 로터를 재가공하거나 교체하고, 패드도 함께 교체하는 것이다. 차가 드라이브 기어에서 뒤로 굴러가는 문제는 차가 정차된 상태에서 언덕을 향하고 있을 때만 발생한다고 가정한다. 경사가 매우 급하다면 차에 문제가 없을 수 있다. 완만한 언덕에서도 이런 현상이 발생한다면 트랜스미션을 점검받아야 한다. 먼저 트랜스미션 오일 레벨을 확인하는 것부터 시작하면 된다. 차종에 따라 쉬울 수도 있고 어려울 수도 있다.
