증상
시동 시 엔진에서 1초 미만 지속되는 삐걱거리는 소리 발생. 차갑고 습한 4월 아침에 주로 발생. 벨트 관련 소음으로 추정. 26,000km 주행한 2010년식 코롤라.
처리 내용
원인은 서펜타인 벨트(Serpentine belt)일 가능성이 높음. 벨트에 명백한 마모나 헐어짐이 보이지 않고 소음이 악화되지 않으면 긴급 수리는 아니며 예정된 정기 점검 때 처리 가능. 다만 구매한 딜러에 즉시 연락하여 구매 후부터 발생한 증상임을 기록으로 남길 것을 권장. 많은 딜러가 구매 후 30일 이내에는 무상 수리해주지만(일부는 3일, 일부는 90일), 이 시점에서 연락하는 것이 중요. 해당 연식과 주행거리라면 팩토리 워런티가 여전히 유효할 가능성 높으나, 벨트는 정상적인 마모로 간주되어 워런티 대상에서 제외될 수 있으므로 미리 딜러에 연락하는 것이 좋음.
