Well , we now have the doner car sitting in a garage in Rome ...one owner since new in 1966.....my late mother in laws. Not sure how and if to bring it to London or get it upgraded or left original. Restomods tend to cost way more than we could spend...someone posted 150k....

re. the refrigerant - If you take the car to Quik-Fit they will empty the system for free (probably best to ring first to check but I've done it on a few cars..). This is actually a requirement if you work on the AC system of a car as the gas is pretty nasty for you and the environment.Once that's done it's pretty simple, just nuts n bolts but do fit a replacement drier though if you're opening the system up.
