Meanwhile our Lee is still making the same circular arguments I reckon for me to be sure. I m still here reading but not commenting much anymore as it s exhausting. I appreciate that Mike to be honest.

Forty years time - who knows!!!Someone can do some basic maths here to confirm but i think there will still be easily accessible fuel. In 2046 there is likely to still be several million ICE on UK roads. Assume the UK fleet shrinks from 35ish to 30m cars by then?2m new cars per year for the next 10 years - let s say 6-8m ICE in the next 10 years? The average age of cars will continue to increase because they are so good already that there is less need to renew.Losing petrol stations will be tomorrow s equivalent of bank branches closing - poorer people and older people will need access for a long time yet and it will become a political issue about peoples access to basic services. ICE enthusiasts (of which i will certainly be one) will benefit from this and will be able to fuel their cars for a long time yet.I agree - I reckon in 2046 about 80-85% of the UK car pool will be EV. Based if conservative softened ZEV mandate of 50% in 2030 (so the lowest of the four options on the table in the current consultation) and probably overly pessimistic scrappage rate of EVs as they come to end of life. So 15 % needing petrol (we’ll ignore Diesel for cars as they’ll be long gone apart from a handful). Bear in mind a chunk of those in the 15% requiring petrol will be hybrid, so not needing as much petrol as a pure petrol, we could be looking at about 10% of the fleet needing fuel in equivalent terms to today. Currently 94% of the fleet aren’t EV. Call it 90% for the hybrid equivalency to flush through. That means about 1/9th of the fuel demand of today. That feels like there would be a significant reduction in the number of petrol stations that would be viable to keep going. Not impossible to get hold of by any means, and certainly not at the stage where home storage is likely to be needed, but certainly getting into the pain in the backside phase. My point earlier on was that this leve

Wouldn t feel too secure parking in a city.Good photos of the scenery - 911 going through a puddle! I had look back at the photos to see what you meant, I’d seen the pic but not noticed the puddle, I was far to interested in the Morgan peeping around behind the 911. A lovely looking thing, it would be my choice and I’ve always been a 911 fan.
