The back story....In 2016 I did 33k in 12 months in my brand new Audi RS3, rendering it worthless, to soften the blow I bought a 2009 E91 Alpina D3 Bi Tubro Touring to take on most of the miles I was doing. It was on 68k and I fell totally in love with it and used it for everything. After 12 months and another 30k miles, I let it go after buying a brand new Range Rover Sport. Lovely thing and I still have it now but I still do 30k a year, so now after 2 years I'm on 60k miles with it and its worth nothing.... had lots of fun though!So in a bid to keep mileage off the Rangie, I bought an old dr

I think the cloth is nicer than Dakota leather and is I'm told harder wearing than merino leather although I would have loved Lavalina. The original owner of mine ( who I bought it from) specced cloth seats at ( I think) extra cost with clear Windows, no stripes and debadged.

In a multi story that I was using earlier this evening, the MOT ran out in May 24. I do find the car park ones odd, I've seen other seemingly abandoned cars in other car parks, I'd love to know the reasons.

Writing the title made me wonder how many rear engined coupes have existed. I got 911 (obviously), some Alpines, Delorean, Fiat / Abarth versions of the 850. There must be more.But this is none of those. Its Japanese, made in the '80s and sold here in reasonable numbers. But they are now firmly in the category of 'rare but nobody gives a st'. I'm debating what I do with a speedo conversion. Plus point with the Lockwood is you get mph and kph whereas converting it on the CAN leaves you with mph only. Or I could just leave it in Km. I'm fairly used to doing it in my head that way around. Of course, there was an incident in the Forester where I forgot it was converted and I took it up to an indicated 100 thinking 'this feels strangely fast'
