증상
1992 GMC Vandura 2500 5.7L이 시동이 걸리지 않음. 처음에는 라이트와 라디오는 켜지지만 시동 불가. 일주일 후 재시도 시 라이트도 켜지지 않음. 배터리 전압 측정값 12.8V (무부하 상태). 스타터, 점화 스위치, 점화 락 스위치, 그리고 소손된 15A 퓨즈를 교체했으나 여전히 시동 불가.
처리 내용
무부하 상태에서의 배터리 전압(12.8V)은 배터리 상태를 정확히 나타내지 못함. 배터리가 거의 방전된 상태에서도 12V를 유지할 수 있음. 라이트를 켠 상태에서 전압을 측정할 것. 라이트와 라디오는 켜지지만 시동이 걸리지 않는 현상은 전형적인 배터리 방전 증상: 배터리가 라이트/라디오 같은 소형 부하에는 충분한 전력을 공급하지만, 스타터에 필요한 대전류를 공급할 수 없는 상태. 스타터는 매우 큰 전류를 필요로 하므로, 배터리 방전 또는 수명 종료 시 가장 먼저 영향을 받는 기능. 배터리를 충전하거나 교체하는 것을 권장.

Useful update and great you're enjoying itMany will tell you to get the gearbox serviced, my zf8 is on easy motorway 160k and not bothered, and the car will soon depart so I don't care My sos battery went at 5 yrs so to save a trip to the garage and an annoying warning I'd get that done, tpms sensors last 5-7 years in my experience so could be good preventative measure

Well the AMG went and the Shark 6 has arrived. It was a better choice for me to be honest, with wanting to go into the dunes (see later on in the post how that went, rookie error) and for putting the kids bikes in etc etc - The long warranty and at the price they are it was a no brainer.
