Because everything is so insulated these days then quite a lot to generate a bit of excitement. Hence the absurd BHP figures available for some stuff now.Saying that I wouldn't mind a go in some of these. In reality 150bhp is enough, but keeping the weight down.
RDMcG said: Ignore cost, what the neighbours think ,financial limits and sped limits. You are have a house in Germany convenient to uncrowded autobahns, easy access to a dozen racetracks.I was thinking about this because we are now awash in cars with 800-900 hp, exotics with over 1000. Not just exotics- think of a Dodge Challenger with 707 hp, ustangs and Corvettes with over 800 and so on,EVs of course can be more. I personally peaked in 2006 with a delimited BMW M6 at 536 BHP. 20 years ago and highest top speed of anything I age owned. Now there are cars with 0-60 times under 3 seconds and the performance climbs seem unlimited. Nothing I own or want can match that kind of performance.I read about these amazing new developments and it seems to me I have never had the skills adequate to properly access this level of capability so these cars leave me a bit indifferent. So, in my theoretical example , where does your ideal HP level assuming proper handling and design of the car? Mine is about 400HP. Ignoring all the practical stuff where would you want to be?Have a nice house in the German country side. Lots of still unlimited highways around here, which can be fun at the right times.Only one race track really close by, which is fun and does not really fit crazy HP numbers.Well the highest I had as regular car was bit over 530 in an M4 CP Stage 1. Which went 180mph on the empty highway.Which is not that much fun, as it's pretty tiring very fast. My concentration does not hold up long enough, to go longer that fast.As for long distance travel 110-120 mph is the max I fell ok to do longer time(hours). For which the horsepower does not really matter.Even for the track I dont want more hp, as the 530 were already on the limit(honestly, bit over mine), to go full, part from the few longer straights. Now I m down to 450, which a NA V8, which I enjoy a lot, for bit more of the time.Have not tried the crazy hp EVs yet and cant say if for such a heavy car, maybe over 600 will

Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an
