I am in no rush either but anything over 200 miles seems like going to the moon for the vast majority here.Because you posted about it in JULY - about 10 days ago when you were claiming you didn t stop at the tunnel And even if you hadn t you do realise that people can read posts made before their join date right? Good grief.

The big difference is power and torque is everywhere in the throttle range all of the time. Combined with traction, it makes them feel much faster than the headline bhp/ torque figures. The electric variant isnt just going to feel faster, it will be much faster.Granted, not NA, but i happened to running the figures through Grok AI for our Tesla versus my previous M2 OGTesla Model 3 Long Range RWD (2024+ Highland)286 horsepower (peak motor output)~322 lb-ft of torque (instant, from 0 rpm)2018 BMW M2 (F87)365 horsepower (3.0L twin-turbo inline-6)369 lb-ft of torque (peak)So the M2 is going in with a +80BHP advantage. Now, standing start, drag strip, off the lights the M2 is going to take it, but the in gear times....That wasn't quite what I meant but proves the point. My iX3 is pretty much the same hp and slightly less torque than your Model 3. It weighs 2.2 tonnes (slightly less). It shouldn't feel that quick but it does and it has been quicker on the road in those increments you've mentioned. I've come into it from a Seat Leon Cupra that had probably 50 hp more, 50 lb/ ft torque more and weighed 700 kg less. Up to 100 mph, I'm confident I wouldn't have seen which way the iX3 went if I was in the Seat. That's not just throttle response, it's a lot better than the horrible modern turbos that I've driven, but all power and torque all the time. The actual reaction of foot to pedal to doing something is very good, like good, well set up performance NA engines used to be. Mine reminds me of my M3, it's like having that responsiveness in a daily. All this chat about electric cars often makes me think that I must be driving a slow and unresponsive ICE car as a daily, but when I compared it to the Model 3(admitted not the performance model), it definitely doesn't seem all that slow on paper anyway in comparison.

They're (obviously) expensive cars to maintain regardless, but add on £800/year tax, 20mpg @ £2/litre, Audi's notorious decision to be absolutely terrible at parts provision as things get over 10years old (especially RS side) makes it even more of a potentially risky, expensive proposition. You'd have to really want one. Shame, as this is much nicer than their mode

Meh.Here s a Jaguar object lesson in design, soul, light in the dark, etc.Like the Alfa it will also never get made.Saw a CX-75 in the flesh at Goodwood many years ago. Made literally everything else there look really REALLY dull

Anyone else feel like driving at night is getting worse now thanks to modern cars and their collapsed suns blinding everyone?Landrovers are bad for it but that's also because they're higher up, still no excuse it's like they're always on full beam. BMW's as well, everytime I now pass a new one I can bearly bloody see.Sometimes I flash them as I think to myself they definitley have their full beams on, only for them to flash me back and illuminate the whole fking county
