Had a C reg one of these back in 96 / 97 and absolutely loved it.Always felt special, revved to the moon and was always reliable. By the time I got it, it already had rust on the rear arches and needed welding to get through it's MOT. Not sure I'd want to spend £20k for a trip down memory lane, but a lovely thing to have owned in my early 20's.
I've had 2 F reg MK1 MR2's both in white.A couple of things to note on this one for sale, especially for £20k, there should be a dual pin stripe running around both bumpers, as per the 2 red MR2s, the alloys should also be painted black on the inside of the teardrop. My first one I traded in a Nova GTE for, I absolutely loved it, I kept it a couple of years and traded it in for a MK1 MX5, as I was keen to have a convertible. I had another one about 10 years later, insured as a classic, I had to have both rear arches repaired...I also had a MK2 MR2, I personally didn't think it was a patch on the MK1....Everyone has to own a car with pop up headlights at some stage in their life...!

It was amazing and I will probably miss it slightly for the roads on my doorstep but.... I wanted something that had a bit more 'jump in and go'Initially thought 30th Anniversary ND MX5 but still wanted something that had a bit of spice about it and so Toyota Elise came to the fore. I've owned an Elise before a beautiful 111s S1 but it was so raw with the short gearing it made the Caterham feel easier for euro trips. Anyway after speaking to Back In Track in Guildford we landed on a 111R a

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an

Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.
