It's obviously cheaper to 'fuel' an EV on a per mile basis (ignoring cost per mile which is more to do with total cost of ownership) but it's simply not as cheap as some like to pretend. The fibbing and cherry picking just makes those people's opinions worthless. I have home solar & battery storage, and so only touch peak day rates a few hours in Winter. Leads to the other benefit : being able to run my house 99% of the year on the offpeak EV rate is saving around £600 per year on my house energy bill too.(Plus solar savings)As I said - I'm not 'cherry picking' Anything else you need clarifying? In before you mention the solar cost : The saving this provides on my energy bill each month (£220+), is more than the monthly cost on my loan (£180) to have it. (Loan doesnt last forever!)Perhaps during December and January the solar savings don't quite cover the monthly loan cost, be we are talking a £20 to £40 difference, for those months, after it's provided £40 to £60 'profit' in the other months of the year."The fibbing and cherry picking just makes those people's opinions worthless." : Far from it Edited by SDK on Sunday 6th September 18:02 So you're able to charge at that rate because you have a pretty decent sized PV and battery system. That's quite a large outlay required to make that possible isn't it? Quite like that. Seems good condition & obvious curio out of all the hatches of the time.Treat it like a mini exotic GT car rather than a Type R rival & I recckon it fits the brief.Price wise given the scarcity of these is about correct for the right enthusiast. Should get some money off as well I would argue.

You may have read my post previously about the Overland Yeti / subsequent Yeti TSI conversion which appears to have inspired a couple of PHers so far to head to Morocco, which is great! it has been awesome reading of poppopbangbang's Cayenne adventure and CA with his L405.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...Well anyone that read the original thread will know that things didn't go completely to plan and ultimately we were let down by road car build quality which just isn't that suitable to the trials and tribulations of overland action (at least not at the hands of amateurs, an
