FUEL KEEP COMING BACK UP FROM THE INTAKE (CAP) EVERY-TIME IT'S FULL AND HAPPEN ON HOT WEATHER DAYS WHILE IN PARKING LOT. IT'S HAPPENED A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR (BRAND NEW), THE DEALER TRIED TO REPLACE CHARCOAL CANISTER, BUT NOW AFTER A YEAR THE PROBLEM COME BACK AGAIN AND BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS NOW, BRING TO THE DEALER NOW (DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE BEFORE), THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT AND BLAME ME FOR OVERFILL. THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANY REPAIR OR FURTHER INVESTIGATION BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT THEY DIDN'T TOTALLY FIX THE PROBLEM, IT'S EASIER FOR THEM TO BLAME IT ON THE CONSUMERS.

Hi everyone, Iโm looking for some advice on a specific shifting issue with my 2007 Toyota Auris 1.4 D4D (Manual). I cannot shift from 4th gear into 3rd gear while the car is moving. It feels like hitting a physical wall, no grinding or noise, just a total lockout. Upshifting is fine 2nd to 3rd gear works perfectly. Also others gears no problem at all. From 1st to 5th to reverse. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM DEAD STOP IN A RIGHT HAND TURN UP-HILL CAR IS SLOW TO MOVE FORWARD REQUIRING MORE PRESSURE ON GAS PEDAL, THEN TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE HUNTING FOR RIGHT GEAR CAUSING A JERKY MOTION.

2003 Hyundai Santa Fe will start then die. Then it will not start. After pumping the accelerator or holding on the floor and returning later it will start. Nothing codes out. This happens probably 15% of the time. Any ideas?

A friend has an older Miata that was improperly stored for at least three years. Most of the time, it was not garaged. The gas is old, the battery is dead, it has not been started. It was probably parked without an oil change. He is looking to do the minimum to get this sellable, so the primary concern is the initial startup and the brakes. Iโve asked a few mechanics and DIYers this question and so far no consensus. Letโs say youโre 1000 miles away from next SCHEDULED oil change, and youโre about to leave on a 2000 mile road trip. Would you choose to change your oil 1000 miles early before the trip, or 1000 miles late after the trip?
